The Land Bank is holding its second Paint The City event this Saturday at South Pres Church at 2110 S. Salina St. from 10 am to 1 pm. Come join and paint a board that will be used to secure Land Bank Properties. More information can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1792599694364037/
Additionally, the Land Bank has issued an RFP for Periodic Inspections on Land Bank properties. They are seeking a contractor to conduct routine inspections on our properties. SYRACUSE,NY ---The Eat to Live Food Cooperative (www.Eat2LiveFoodCoop.org) hosts its 1st Annual community focused engagement festival in the heart of the Sankofa Business District
(www.SankofaDistrict.Syr.Edu) at 2323 South Salina Street, in Syracuse, NY on July 15th, 2017 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The TASTE.of.Sankofa, exists to provide residents of the community, businesses and organizations in the area an opportunity to engage with entertainment, and taste culturally diverse cuisine from throughout the community.
Great food and music traditionally prompt communities to unify. The Taste.of.Sankofa will be no different featuring a unique vegan soul food truck, vendors with eclectic signature dishes, handmade crafts and creative service offerings will be present. Not only does the festival focus on being a platform to give small businesses exposure. It also serves as a opportunity for the community to tour the Eat to Live Food Cooperative, a gem and anchor business on Syracuse’s Southside that provides fresh affordable food options and coop memberships to customers!.
The festival will also be hosting a BBQ Contest with a $250.00 grand prize, to a lucky winner!
